This photo i did the same thing with what i have been doing but to keep my photos from being boring, i tried to make appeal it in a different way. I took a picture of each part of the section of her body and put them all together in a certain pattern.

Second Theme: Circle of life Portraits

This new idea of my theme is starting from a mothers womb, the circle of life begins and grows into something more than it is. I will be taking portrait pictures of people as life grows older and see how the physical changes appear. When my mom's baby is delivered into the world of danger, i will be taking portrait shots of her growing up and seeing the changes that occur as her life goes on.

Xuxa Ellorin 2

This picture is my final photo from my test shots. I put all three of them together because i had a lot of shots that I liked from this photo shoot. I photoshopped this picture to make it more on the dark gloomy background and having the dress also dark but stand out from its surroundings. I put them in the order the way i did because at first she's in that awkward position not looking at the camera, then i had her look at the camera with a semi awkward position, then last having her in a normal model pose but with her head turned away but full body of what the dress looks like. So basically its from barely seeing the dress to seeing all of the shapes and textures of it .

Michaela Pangilinan

The point of making this picture is to have the main focus on the dress, having her set up in different angles to make the focal point mainly on the skirt's color and its texture and also the background. I messed with the colors in photoshop and made the background darker than the model & dress itself. I lightened up her skin to remove the yellowness of her body. I think that this picture is somewhat successful because my main point is to advertise and attract simple dresses that i make which made it work.

Artist Bio: Angela West

Angela West grew up in Dahlonega, Georgia, and received her MFA in photography from Yale University. Much of Angela’s work is a series of varied photographic projects relating to her hometown and the chronology of its inhabitants. Employing the traditional academic genres of art to explore the nature and place of community, Angela’s projects include portrait studies of small-town teenage girls, landscape explorations of neighborhoods, and still lifes that represent the passing of time. Her richly realized color photographs balance affection for her subjects with precise and unsentimental observation. Ms. West’s work is included in the collections of the High Museum of Art, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art and The Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C. Ms. West was the recipient of a 2009 Artadia Award.

Xuxa Ellorin.

This photo, I tried to test it out by having the same background as the outfit and see if it would bring more attraction to romper. I believe that it advertised the photo just a little bit more and gave it an interesting figure. Having the same background as the fashion gives it catches your eye to look closely to out the outlines of the outfit which helps it give the audience a better visual of what the outfit looks like.

Kevin Tom Garner.

This is my brother Kevin and in this photo, i made him a vest and posed him in a way that will attract to the vest. i made the background red because it makes the green catch the audience's eye. Then i burned his vest on photoshop because the color stands out. I darkened the outer lines to have the main focus on him and not the background.

Test Shots

In this test shot, I was basically testing the lighting effect in my living room. I experimented with using my own ghetto hot lights. I used my foot to hold the light and just messed around with the angle of the lights. My point in taking this shot was to test if the clothes that i make will blend in with a completely different background. I believe that it does blend in because it helps the dress stand out more and more focused on the dress. I photoshopped it to make it look more darker and to just focus on the dress itself.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Proposed by: Kimberly B. Garner
Project Title: KBG Fashion Photography
Class: Photography
Instructer: Ms. Miles
Project Due Date: 01/31/2011

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I am going to design & make my own clothing for the models, and position them into an awkward pose in front of a design that is completely opposite from what they are wearing. My goal is to try to position them in a position they're not really use to but symbolizes how they're feeling .

TYPE OF WORK: Fashion Photography

CONCEPT: I will be taking pictures of regular people not having experiences of being a model and work with them towards a personality they never knew they had. I will be advertising my own clothing & make them stand out by adding a complete opposite design as the background.

VISION: I would like to catch the audience's eyes by the color & the sequence beyond the picture. Revealing the model's emotion by the expressions & poses they hide inside.

INSPIRATION: as for now, Ms. Miles

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Canon Rebel T1i, Window light, Florescent light.

PRESENTATION: I dont know yet. But it will be hung somewhere wonderful.
